A “fake social security number” is a fraudulently generated identification number that resembles a legitimate Social Security number (SSN) issued by the U.S. Social Security Administration. For instance, the number may share the same format (#–) but contains fabricated digits.
Fake social security numbers are used by individuals for various reasons, including identity theft, employment scams, and accessing government benefits illegally. However, their use carries severe consequences and can lead to criminal charges.
